We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst / Project Manager to support regulatory initiatives within the Capital Markets space at a leading global investment bank. This is a hybrid role, ideal for a functional BA/PM—not just an IT project manager—with deep knowledge of the securities industry and the ability to operate independently, confidently, and credibly across senior business stakeholders.
Lead business and functional analysis across regulatory change programs in Capital Markets.
Drive the full project lifecycle—from requirements gathering (BRDs, FRDs) to implementation and testing.
Facilitate workshops, working groups, and steering committee interactions with business and tech stakeholders.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, timelines, and plans.
Analyze and document current/future state processes and propose optimal operating models.
Coordinate with technology teams for functional design, interface specifications, and architectural recommendations.
Manage test planning and execution: SIT, UAT, regression testing, test cases/scripts.
Apply project governance standards including RACI, traceability matrices, change controls, and gate reviews.
Guide and mentor junior PMs or BAs assigned to the project.
8+ years of experience in Project Management and Business Analysis roles within Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
Deep knowledge of FICC, U.S. Treasuries, and other Global Markets products.
Proven ability to independently lead complex initiatives and communicate effectively with senior leadership.
Experience creating and managing BRDs, FRDs, test plans, and detailed business documentation.
Strong understanding of regulatory change initiatives and front-to-back business processes.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a “no-fluff” presence—someone who can “own the room” while staying sharp and credible.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Visio, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, PM tools, and industry-standard frameworks.
Preferred: Experience in finance, operations, or credit risk change projects related to FICC.
Certifications (PMP, CBAP, or equivalent) highly desirable
