Position Summary: The Senior BI Architect will lead the design, development, and implementation of a Business Intelligence (BI) strategy for a health data warehouse project at CHIA. This project involves rebuilding an existing data warehouse using updated ETL, BI, and database platforms to enhance technical performance and manage costs. The role requires close collaboration with Senior Management and Data Analysts to align BI solutions with business objectives and to select and implement a new enterprise-level BI tool.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and Implementation:
o Lead the design and implementation of semantic layers on Snowflake and/or Postgres databases within an MS Azure environment.
o Develop and execute a BI strategy to meet organizational goals and improve data analytics capabilities.
2. Tool Evaluation and Recommendation:
o Analyze business needs to recommend and select an appropriate BI tool.
o Gain consensus from business teams on the selected tool and oversee its
implementation.
3. Implementation and Support:
o Lead the implementation of a BI solution across the organization.
o Assist staff in using and implementing BI tools and technologies.
o Troubleshoot BI issues and provide ongoing support to BI users.
4. Healthcare Data Expertise:
o Work with healthcare data, preferably in the payer space, to ensure BI solutions are tailored to industry-specific needs.
5. Cloud Technologies:
o Utilize cloud technologies, with a focus on MS Azure and Snowflake, to support BI and data warehousing needs.
Qualifications:
· Experience:
o Minimum of 5 years in a Business Intelligence Architect role.
o Minimum of 5 years’ experience implementing BI solutions in Azure cloud environments.
o At least 2 years working with Snowflake and Postgres databases.
o Demonstrated experience with leading cloud BI tools and evaluating business needs to create effective BI strategies.
· Skills:
o Strong technical expertise in BI tools and technologies.
o Proven leadership skills to navigate complex business environments and drive BI projects.
o Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and manage multiple business units effectively.
