Senior Backend Engineer

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development with expertise in AWS, PostgreSQL, Django, and Docker. In addition, you should have a strong understanding of best practices for ETL, data mapping, and data pipeline architecture. Experience working with healthcare payer integrations is highly desirable, as you will be contributing to building and optimizing data-driven solutions in the healthcare domain.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Django and PostgreSQL.
2. Architect, build, and optimize ETL pipelines and workflows, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
3. Work with AWS services (such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) to build cloud-native solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, product managers, front-end engineers) to design and deliver high-quality data products.
5. Develop robust data mapping and transformation logic to ensure data consistency and integrity across various platforms and systems.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
6. Leverage Docker to containerize applications and ensure consistency across development and production environments.
7. Integrate and maintain complex healthcare payer systems and third-party APIs, ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards (e.g., HIPAA).
8. Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing backend services.
9. Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
