Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architectural design and implementation of HCL Commerce or Commercetools solutions, ensuring best practices in scalability, security, and performance.
Define and drive technical strategies, standards, and roadmaps for eCommerce platforms.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to align technology solutions with business objectives.
Provide hands-on leadership in designing microservices-based architectures, API integrations, and cloud-native solutions.
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance eCommerce capabilities.
Guide development teams in coding best practices, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
Oversee technical governance, code reviews, and architectural decision-making.
Ensure seamless integration with third-party applications, payment gateways, and external services.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring platform stability and performance.
Mentor and develop junior architects and technical leads within the organization.
Requirements:
Experience: 12+ years in software architecture and development, with a strong Java foundation.
eCommerce Expertise: 5+ years of experience in HCL Commerce or Commercetools architecture and implementation.
Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, RESTful APIs, GraphQL.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with headless commerce, MACH architecture, and API-first development.
Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch).
Leadership: Proven experience in leading architecture teams, mentoring developers, and driving technical excellence.
Agile Methodologies: Strong background in working with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.
Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in modern front-end technologies (React.js, Next.js) for eCommerce applications.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, or similar technologies.
Certification in Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) or MACH architecture is a plus.
