Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver end-to-end technical architecture to support business initiatives within the capital markets domain.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs and translate them into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Provide technical direction and leadership across the technology lifecycle--design, development, and deployment.
- Lead the architecture design of cloud-native, event-driven, or microservices-based systems.
- Conduct impact analysis of functional and non-functional requirements, regulatory risks, and technology constraints.
- Maintain and evolve current and target state architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Support delivery by influencing the backlog and sequencing of features and epics across multiple domains.
- Mentor and guide development and architecture teams, fostering technical excellence and architectural integrity.
- Drive the reduction of technical debt and decommissioning of legacy platforms.
- Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and validate architecture decisions against industry standards and security benchmarks.
- Document architectures, decisions, and technical designs in clear and structured formats.

Technical Capabilities:
- Strong proficiency in Java, integration patterns, and enterprise system architecture.
- Experience designing cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to assess and manage technical debt and legacy technology remediation.
- Experience with architectural modelling, reference architecture creation, and roadmap planning.
- Understanding of capital markets domain, regulatory compliance, and risk systems is preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- 20+ years of total experience in the technology industry.
- 5+ years of experience in architecture leadership roles.
- Strong track record of working with scaled agile frameworks in large, regulated enterprises.
- Hands-on experience in designing, optimizing, and modernizing financial systems.
- Exposure to application portfolio management, asset lifecycle planning, and service-oriented architecture.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
- Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Architect) are a strong advantage.
- Business acumen in banking or financial services is highly desirable
