Senior AI/ML Data Engineer

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AI/ML Data Engineer to join their team to help implement AI/ML solutions in the healthcare domain. This role requires a hands-on expert who can influence design decisions, prioritize tasks, and lead the development of scalable AI/ML systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and GenAI technologies, with experience in healthcare data and cloud-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML solutions aligned with business goals
• Select appropriate technologies and tools for AI/ML development
• Decompose complex problems into scalable, maintainable solutions
• Develop and optimize GenAI models, including quantization and performance tuning
• Conduct proof-of-concepts involving model training, evaluation, and benchmarking
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business needs
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, high-trust team culture
• Ensure code quality through reviews, pair programming, and best practices

Qualifications:

• Strong foundation in machine learning, statistical modeling, and deep learning
• Hands-on experience with GenAI models and optimization techniques
• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LangChain, and VectorDBs
• Experience with large-scale model training and inference (Databricks, PySpark)
• Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and ML Ops tools
• Experience with GitHub, REST APIs, Docker, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Knowledge of UI frameworks (Streamlit, Flask), and API development (FastAPI)
• Skilled in topic modeling (LSA, LDA, NMF) and dimensionality reduction (PCA, UMAP, t-SNE)
• Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills
