Lead aircraft-level integration of avionics, SATCOM systems, and supporting hardware
Prepare airworthiness documentation and coordinate flight clearance with Air Force offices and OEMs
Use CAD tools to manage 3D designs, interface models, and system weight and balance data
Support lab testing with realistic test setups and ensure environmental compliance
Participate in flight test planning, risk analysis, and post-test evaluations
Maintain integration timelines and report progress to government stakeholders
Mentor junior engineers and promote agile development practices
Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical, aerospace, or mechanical engineering
At least 10 years of experience in aircraft modification or system integration
Strong knowledge of structural design, wiring, environmental testing, and weight balance
Experience with flight testing and defense acquisition processes
Proficiency in tools such as CREO, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks
Master’s degree in a related field
Experience with SATCOM, secure communications, or open architecture systems
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
Agile or SAFe certifications
Background in Air Force documentation and airworthiness approval processes
