What you’ll be doing...

In this role, you’ll join the Wireless Transport Maintenance Engineering team and will be responsible for supporting 5G Home Ready test beds in the Richardson, TX lab. The testbed comprises Ethernet Backhaul Routers (Nokia, Cisco, Ciena), RF radios, Readylinks DPU (Distribution Point Unit), and BNG.

 

The primary accountabilities associated with this position include:

You'll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience with IPV6, BGP, TCP/IP, UDP, EBH, IP routing, BFD, ISIS, EBH/eNSE Segment Routing, fabric architecture, PTP, VCP, vRAN. RF
Operational knowledge of Hardware: Nokia 7750/7705/7250/7210, Ciena 5164, Cisco 540, 5501, 55A1, 1K/9K, microwave radios
Experience with routers and networking (e.g., subnetting, router configurations, routing designs, outage recovery, RCA investigations).
Project management experience.
Strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
Experience with scripting (e.g., python, ansible)
Knowledge of system architectures, system operations, end-to-end designs, and device-system interactions.
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
Understanding of 5G, LTE, IMS, and VoLTE call flows.
RF knowledge and experience are a plus.
