Scrum Master

Responsibilities

• Manage scrum teams through all phases of implementation while maintaining high quality, timely deliveries.
• Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments.
• Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
• Resolve conflicts and issues that occur.
• Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity.
• Exhibit strong leadership in planning, leading, and facilitating scrum ceremonies: daily standups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint retrospective, and sprint review and showcase.
• Work with Product Managers to define and groom the backlog to facilitate sprint planning.
• Identify, track and manage project risks, blockers, and issues to conclusion, defining appropriate risk.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of, and experience implementing, Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Good understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices.
• Ability to breakdown complex technology concepts and present to senior leadership.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
• CSM or equivalent scrum certification.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of scrum master and/or project manager experience
• 2-3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
• Experience as an Agile Scrum Master of an Agile delivery team, preferably in a variety of situations including a large enterprise, a scaled environment and a matrixed organization.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
