Scrum Master

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for facilitating and guiding the scrum team in adopting and implementing the Scrum framework which includes organizing and leading Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, promoting collaboration and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and values.
Manage application development software projects to ensure quality, on time, within budget delivery from requirement definition through testing, rollout, and support.
Perform project planning and sizing activities, identify resource requirements, and oversee a team capable of producing specified deliverables.
Perform work breakdown and task identification, assign tasks to project resources, track
progress on assigned tasks, and manage the assembly of completed tasks into coherent
deliverables.
Create and maintain an information technology project plan that communicates tasks,
milestone dates, status, and resource allocation.
Identify and communicate major milestones and risks to achieving those milestones in a
positive manner.
Partner with Executive Stakeholders to build consensus.
Work and associate with Quality Assurance Team to meet quality standards.
Assist technical team in design and development tasks.
Lead continuous improvement efforts.
Key Skills:
Scrum Master Leadership: Act as Scrum Master, using Agile/Scrum methods to track progress, conduct sprints, and facilitate project ceremonies. Remove roadblocks and ensure team adherence to Agile practices. Track velocity, understand burndown charts, monitor carryover. Monitoring progress against project goals.
Project Management: Manage projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scope are met. Responsible for status reporting and risk escalation.
Stakeholder Communication: Engage with stakeholders to align on goals and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Job Requirements:
5+ years as Scrum Master with a project management focus leading complex SDLC projects.
Strong Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban), with expertise in tools like JIRA and Confluence.
Agile champion.
Excellent communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
JIRA is required.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Scrum or PMP certification is a plus.
