SAP Test Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own the overall SAP test strategy, test plans, and quality assurance processes for SAP programs/projects.
• Manage the test lifecycle including test planning, preparation, execution, defect tracking, and closure.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional test teams (functional, technical, automation).
• Ensure test environments and test data are available and fit for purpose.
• Define testing scope, entry and exit criteria, deliverables, and timelines.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
• Manage and mitigate testing risks and issues, ensuring escalations are addressed promptly.
• Oversee test automation initiatives in SAP (where applicable).
• Utilize tools like HP ALM, JIRA, SAP Solution Manager (SolMan), or Tricentis Tosca for test management and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
• Provide regular test status reports and metrics to stakeholders and senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of overall experience, with at least 4 years as an SAP Test Manager.
• Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM, SuccessFactors, etc.).
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation or migration projects is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Expertise in using test management and defect tracking tools.
• Experience managing onshore-offshore test teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus
