Description

a. SAP System Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP BW, SAP EP, SAP SM, etc.).
  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and support packages.
  • Manage SAP transports, transport routes, and coordinate with different teams for efficient transport management.
  • Set up and manage SAP client copies, system copies, and other related tasks

b. Monitoring and Performance Tuning

  • Proactively monitor SAP systems and ensure high availability.
  • Optimize system performance, including database tuning, buffer tuning, and disk management.
  • Analyze system logs and performance metrics, ensuring minimal downtime and fast issue resolution.

c. User and Security Management:

  • Administer SAP user accounts, roles, and profiles, ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Implement and manage authorizations, including the configuration of SAP security roles and profiles.
  • Ensure proper access controls are in place for sensitive data and functions.

d. Backup and Disaster Recovery:

  • Plan, implement, and test regular backups of SAP systems and related databases.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and ensure SAP systems can be restored in the event of a failure.

e. System Integration and Configuration:

  • Work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP and other business systems.
  • Configure SAP Solution Manager and support its usage for system monitoring, diagnostics, and incident management.

f. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve SAP-related incidents and service requests.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams to resolve cross-functional issues (e.g., networking, database).

g. System migration support

  • Collaborate with other functional and technical teams to provide data and configuration settings for new finance and/or HR systems.
  • Provide historical reports to ingest into new systems

h. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation on system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare regular reports on system performance, availability, and capacity planning.

i. Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure compliance with DoD IT security policies and STIGS, PCI DSS regulations, and SAP best practices.
  • Participate in regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential system vulnerabilities.

B. OpenText/ECM:

a. ECM System Administration:

  • Administer and maintain the OpenText ECM platform
  • Install, configure, and upgrade ECM software and related applications.
  • Manage and monitor system performance, ensuring that the ECM platform is running efficiently and reliably.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly system checks to ensure all services are operational.

b. Document and Content Management:

  • Ensure the organization’s documents and digital assets are correctly stored, indexed, and categorized within the ECM platform.
  • Optimize document indexing and search capabilities for ease of access and retrieval.

c. Backup and Disaster Recovery:

  • Develop and implement strategies for backup and disaster recovery for the ECM system, ensuring business continuity.
  • Regularly test and verify the effectiveness of backup and recovery plans for critical content and records. d. System Integration:
  • Integrate ECM solutions with other enterprise systems, including ERP and other business-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless data flow and efficient content sharing across systems.
  • Support content migration or upgrades across platforms, ensuring minimal downtime. e. System migration support
  • Collaborate with other functional and technical teams to provide data and configuration settings for new file imaging systems.
  • Provide historical reports to ingest into new systems

f. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Provide technical support for ECM-related issues, working with users to identify and resolve problems.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and resolve system errors related to the ECM platform.
  • Manage incident resolution and escalate issues when necessary.

g. Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Continuously monitor the performance and health of the ECM platform and related services.
  • Generate reports on system usage, user activity, and document management workflows.
  • Provide performance analysis and suggest improvements for system optimization.

h. Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Ensure the ECM system adheres to DoD policies and STIGs, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PCI DSS).
  • Stay up to date on ECM trends and best practices to ensure the platform remains effective, secure, and scalable.
  • Participate in audits and compliance reviews as required.

i. Documentation and Training:

  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and operating procedures.
  • Provide training and support to end-users regarding the effective use of the ECM platform.
