SAP ABAP RAP Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on experience in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP)—both managed and unmanaged scenarios are mandatory. The ideal candidate will also have a solid background in CDS views, SAP HANA, OOABAP, and OData services. This is a remote opportunity for professionals who are self-driven and passionate about modern SAP development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement applications using ABAP RAP (managed and unmanaged).
• Create and extend Core Data Services (CDS) views with annotations.
• Develop backend logic using OOABAP, and optimize for performance on SAP HANA.
• Build and expose OData services for frontend consumption.
• Collaborate with functional consultants and UI5/Fiori developers to integrate end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across RAP-based developments.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews and SAP best practices.

Technical Skills Required:

• Expertise in ABAP RAP (Managed and Unmanaged Scenarios) – Mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of CDS views, annotations, and metadata extensions.
• Proficient in OOABAP and modern ABAP development techniques.
• Good experience with OData v2/v4 services.
• Experience working with SAP HANA artifacts like CDS, AMDP.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP (optional but a plus).
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• SAP certifications (ABAP, RAP, HANA) are a plus.
• Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
