SAM Technical Analyst

Job Description

Skill Profile:
• ITIL Foundation is preferred
• Working knowledge of a SAM Tool (Snow Software)
• Working knowledge on SQL DB and query.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Regular provision of information about the installed / used software on all assets (client, server, host, etc.)
 Understanding of scripting and XML
 Import Devices data with all necessary information
 Preparing Entitlement and Deployment reports for clients
 Should have good understanding of how Infrastructure of the Tool solution works (Database – SQL Server & Oracle, Servers, etc.)
 T/S on Agent inventory and data source connections
 Installing Snow Agents on Windows and UNIX Servers (its flavors)
 Upgrading Snow Tool
 Validate the data coming in Snow from different data sources and take necessary action to fix it in case of any discrepancy.
 Configure scheduled jobs/CRON Jobs
 Able to create signature / recognition rules
 Create custom license metrics based on the software licensing model
 Comprehend and interpret complex software licensing agreements and maintenance contracts
 Assisting in Software Asset Management (SAM) audits
 Able to download the Latest version of Tool Catalog and update it in the environments
