Salesforce (software and data) Architecture; Technical Leadership. Analytics and Digital Transformation to define the technical and data architecture and direction for DOL’s new Salesforce LPI application, a cloud-based solution for professional licensing and inspection. You will work with the DOL team to establish the working agreements between DOL and the software implementation vendor’s technical teams, defining the technology milestones and delivery schedules, and product release criteria. You will ensure DOL’s vendor(s) execute on the technical vision and deliver high-quality software and solutions for the constituents of the Commonwealth. While DOL has defined a conceptual, high-level solution architecture, the early stages of this role will involve refining the solution architecture in partnership with DOL’s selected implementing vendor as part of the initial implementation.
Leading development project and reporting to executives. This is a senior role.
Modern tools and programming languages. We would like you to have deep hands-on experience with a few of these things, familiarity with most, and willingness to be proactive and learn about these or other technologies:
Salesforce – understanding of traditional Salesforce CRM platform and recent technologies including LPI modules, DataCloud, Einstein and DocuSign.
Data management and reporting - RDBMS and NoSQL databases, cloud-based and data integration tools and warehouses (e.g. MuleSoft, Tableau, Snowflake)
REST API frameworks in a variety of language(s).
CI/CD and DevOps tools, particularly Jira and Copado
Automated testing frameworks and tools
Mobile application frameworks (e.g. Salesforce Lightning)
Working on projects with external vendors. Many of our product teams are composed of both external vendors and internal team members. We will rely on you to advocate for DOL with our vendors, directing them to ensure that the vendor’s team is delivering high-quality software on time and according to agreed-upon functionality. We will also rely on you to help build expertise internally on the solutions delivered by our vendors to ensure they meet the short and long-term technology roadmap we have created.
Ability to see the big picture, but dive into the details. As the lead Technology Architect, you will be responsible for the overall technology delivery and should have the technical depth to dive into the specifics of each aspect of the solution, including the software development, data engineering and analytics, QA processes and User Experience (UX).
Preferred
Experience in both waterfall and agile software delivery methodologies.
