Client is seeking a Salesforce Developer who will be responsible for understanding current sales and marketing process workflows and working with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements. This role will closely collaborate with marketing, accounting, IT, and web teams to enhance internal processes and workflows, increasing the availability of information for internal stakeholders and improving workflows for all parties involved, including partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- System Ownership:
- Serve as the system owner of the Salesforce CRM environment, supporting 100+ users across three organizations.
- Process Documentation and Analysis:
- Understand and document current sales processes and workflows within Salesforce CRM.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in workflows, collaborate with stakeholders, assess risks, create a process improvement plan, and gain executive buy-in to execute projects.
- Technology Integration Support:
- Act as a resource within the sales team to manage new technology integrations and assist with technology purchase decisions.
- Measurement and Tracking:
- Create and manage standard measurements and tracking tools, making them accessible to sales teams, executives, and stakeholders.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to clearly define challenges and desired outcomes, scoping projects and creating project requirements.
- System Connectivity:
- Utilize critical thinking to build or direct third parties in improving connectivity between systems such as accounting, CRM, Marketing Automation, and home-grown license management systems.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze data to identify trends, recognize areas of concern, and suggest improvements. Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed.

Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience identifying and implementing process improvements, providing data analysis, and managing cross-department project teams and/or outside vendors.
- 3+ years acting as a data administrator for a Salesforce CRM instance.
Salesforce Expertise:
- Salesforce.com Admin Certification or equivalent hands-on experience as a Salesforce administrator.
Certifications:
- Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Developer certifications preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Working knowledge of SQL, FileMaker, Tableau, and/or other data analysis tools.
Salesforce Platform Knowledge:
- Understanding of Salesforce with the ability to build custom apps, objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other intermediate complexity content.
Project Management:
- Proven history of successfully driving projects to completion, including cross-functional collaboration.
Sales Environment Experience:
- Experience working in a software sales environment and/or with international subsidiaries/distribution partners.
Database Management:
- Working knowledge of database creation and management.
Software Proficiency:
- Exceptional knowledge and experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
