Safe Product Owner

Randstad is seeking an experienced SAFe Product Owner to support a high-impact Agile Release Train (ART) delivering enterprise data and analytics platforms for a major transportation client in Washington, DC. This role plays a critical part in shaping self-service data capabilities that empower business users with trusted, accessible, and governed data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product ownership within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, with experience driving initiatives related to data quality, stewardship, compliance, and enterprise analytics. This is a collaborative, cross-functional role requiring coordination with product management, architecture, engineering, and stakeholders across business and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the team backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and value delivery
• Define and communicate product vision and roadmap in partnership with Product Management and stakeholders
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
• Prioritize features and backlog items based on business value, user feedback, and technical feasibility
• Collaborate across multiple teams to ensure platform-wide alignment on data initiatives
• Facilitate refinement, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies within the ART
• Champion SAFe practices and ensure alignment with ART-level PI planning and delivery
• Engage with stakeholders to validate solutions, gather feedback, and manage expectations
• Track key metrics and KPIs to evaluate platform adoption, data quality, and delivery effectiveness
• Support a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and collaboration
• Utilize tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jira Align, and AgilityHealth to manage work and measure progress

Qualifications:

• SAFe 6.0 Product Owner/Product Manager certification or 3+ years in a SAFe environment
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in Agile settings
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise data platforms, analytics, or data governance
• Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe principles, with excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Proficiency with backlog management and agile planning tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
