Robotics Testing Specialist

As a Robotics Testing Specialist, you'll:

• Gather data on robotic systems, ensuring they function accurately and reliably in both controlled and real-world settings.
• Deploy and operate mobile robots and research equipment safely during deployment activities.
• Document test outcomes, note any deviations or failures, and provide clear feedback to engineering teams.
• Set up and dismantle deployment facilities and workstations, assembling necessary components for testing and test infrastructure as needed.
• Prioritize and manage the collection, packing, and use of safety equipment.
• Coordinate the construction, pick-up, shipping, and delivery of robot crates and research equipment.
• Transport research materials and testing equipment to and from various testing locations.
• Collaborate with Research Operations Engineers, and other cross-functional teams, to optimize testing activities.
• Be prepared to travel locally, domestically, and internationally as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of demonstrated ability in a technician or technical operations role, or 4+ years of equivalent experience
• Experience using Linux-based software and operating systems through the command line interface
• A safety-first mentality
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to learn, improve, and inquire
• Strong organizational and technical writing skills
• Understanding of Google Suite and project management tools like Asana, Jira, and Confluence
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, both domestic and international, to support research activities

Bonus Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in robotics, autonomous driving, or research and development environments
• Familiarity with technical equipment, including robotic sensors, mechanical components, and circuits
