R&D Engineer II

The R&D Engineer II contributes to the development of software products and supporting systems. In this role, the R&D Engineer II will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and accomplish development objectives.   

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Performs benchmarking of a product and testing for workflows, automates the procedures using scripting languages, and investigates problems discovered in the activities

Understands and employs best practices

Understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues

Works under the general supervision of a development manager

Understand and reproduce product defects, and work with developers to determine the best resolution.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2 years’ experience or MS

Experience with Electromagnetics simulation software

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in HFSS simulations

Experience in HPC environment such as Compute Clusters and Cloud

Solid knowledge of Electromagnetics and experience with high frequency applications

Experience with scripting such as Python

Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a geographically distributed team
