Role Overview 

We are looking for a Founding Engineering Lead to architect and build the QubeLabs platform from the ground up. You will work closely with the product and design teams to develop a secure, modular, and highly-performant system supporting investment workflows, client management, and intelligent insights. 

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and build backend systems and APIs using Node.js, Python, or Java

- Design and implement scalable services and data models for wealth products (stocks, mutual funds, PMS, etc.)

- Lead integrations with KYC, custodians, transaction systems, and financial data providers

- Establish engineering best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and a secure infrastructure

- Collaborate with design and product teams to build seamless user journeys

- Hire, mentor, and scale a top-tier engineering team- Ensure system reliability, security, compliance, and performance as we scale 

Our Stack (Open to Choice)

- Backend: Node.js (NestJS), Python (FastAPI), or Java (Spring Boot)

- Frontend: React (TypeScript)- Database: PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB

- Infra: AWS/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes- APIs: REST, GraphQL

- DevOps: GitHub Actions, Terraform, Helm 

What You Bring

- 6-10 years of backend engineering experience with at least 2-3 years in a leadership capacity

- Strong system design and architecture skills

- Experience with multi-asset financial systems or scalable B2B/B2C platforms

- Hands-on coding mindset with deep understanding of security, testing, and CI/CD

- Exposure to regulatory compliance (KYC, audit, etc.) is a plus

- Builder attitude with a passion for early-stage problem-solving
