Description

  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks on InDesign documents to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to design standards.
  • Review layouts, typography, images, and other elements to identify any errors or inconsistencies or formatting issues.
  • Verify proper formatting, alignment, and spacing according to brand guidelines and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with designers and editors to resolve issues and implement necessary corrections.
  • Create and maintain QA checklists and documentation to streamline the review process.
  • Maintain detailed records of QA findings, including reports, checklists, and issue tracking logs.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the production team.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and optimize the QA process for InDesign production.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in using InDesign software for layout design and document creation.
  • Strong eye for detail and ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and formatting issues in text and design elements.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and convey QA feedback.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourcefulness and creativity in troubleshooting QA issues and proposing solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Familiarity with typography, colour theory, and layout best practices.
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control roles, preferably in a design or publishing environment, is desirable.
