QA & Testing Lead Analyst

Key Skills: Selenium, Testing, Cucumber, Java, RDBMS, SoapUI.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Define the test process, including required test activities, deliverables, and test schedule.
• Understand how changes impact upstream and downstream processes, including backend and frontend architectural modules.
• Interact closely with onsite and offshore team members, including scrum team members (Scrum Masters, developers, Product Owners, QA, and business partners).
• Define test data conditions and collaborate with the Data team to obtain necessary data.
• Actively participate in all phases of testing, including in-sprint functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing.
• Conduct business requirement analysis, test design, defect logging, and tracking.
• Perform manual/exploratory testing as needed.
• Engage in defect reporting and triaging.
• Analyze failure patterns and determine corrective actions to eliminate errors completely.
• Adhere to the organization's Quality Engineering best practices while driving changes to testing practices where necessary.

Experience Requirements:

• 5 - 8 years of experience in QA and testing, with a strong focus on automation testing.
• Expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, and Java for test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and related testing tools.
• Experience in defining test data, test strategy, and creating test plans for both manual and automated testing.
• Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of testing into the development process.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform detailed defect analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Good knowledge of databases, including SQL, and experience with RDBMS for data validation.
• Familiarity with SoapUI for API testing.
• Exposure to cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and testing in cloud-based applications.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members in testing best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
