QA Test Lead

POSITION

We are seeking a talented Team Lead to join our team. This role integrates quality engineering with test leadership, emphasizing seamless customer engagement and delivering high-quality results through both manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, bringing a positive mindset and strong technical expertise in testing methodologies and automation tools. Collaborate closely with Automation Lead and other Team Leads to foster a culture of excellence. Exceptional interpersonal and customer-facing skills are essential for success in this role.

JOB DUTIES

Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes to ensure high-quality software delivery

Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, promoting best practices in testing and automation

Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases using tools such as Selenium, or equivalent

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to define requirements and specifications that meet customer needs

Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand usability issues, and ensure their needs met through quality assurance efforts

Monitor and report on testing progress, defect status, and quality metrics to stakeholders

Conduct root cause analysis for defects and recommend process improvements

Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Proven experience as a Test Lead with a strong focus on automation

Over 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, demonstrating effective leadership and mentoring of teams

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to drive quality improvements

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams

Proficiency in both manual and automated testing, with experience in automation tools and languages such as Java, Python, Selenium, Jenkins, Gitlab

Exposure/experience on AWS or any related cloud technologies

Solid understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Effective leadership and team management abilities

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with proven customer-facing experience

Ability to thrive in a demanding environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
