QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a QA Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in software testing within the CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service), Customer Experience (CX), or MarTech industries. The candidate will be responsible for leading test planning, execution, and quality assurance for communication solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in functional, UI, API, and system testing, along with hands-on experience using tools like Postman, JIRA, and TestRail. Hybrid testers with basic automation experience will be a plus, ensuring seamless and high-quality product releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the manual testing efforts for CPaaS-based applications, ensuring high-quality releases.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for CPaaS solutions including SMS, voice, video, and APIs.
• Perform functional, UI, API, and integration testing on cloud-based communication services.
• Work closely with automation testers to identify areas for test automation and contribute where needed.
• Utilize tools such as Postman, Swagger, and Charles Proxy for API and network testing.
• Conduct regression, performance, and security testing to ensure product stability and compliance.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.
• Ensure test coverage across multiple platforms, including web, mobile, and cloud environments.
• Provide leadership in test strategy, risk assessment, and continuous process improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in manual software testing, preferably in CPaaS, telecom, or cloud communications.
• Experience in functional, regression, UI, API, and system testing.
• Proficiency in using testing tools like Postman, JIRA, TestRail, Charles Proxy, or Wireshark.
• Familiarity with SQL databases, Linux commands, and cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor junior testers and collaborate in agile/Scrum teams.

Preferred Skills (Bonus for Hybrid Testers)

• Basic knowledge of test automation using Selenium, Cypress, or Python-based frameworks.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Locust, or k6.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD).
