Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough manual and functional testing of web applications and APIs throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for both UI and API layers using tools such as Tosca, Selenium, or Cypress.
- Evaluate and recommend test automation tools and frameworks that align with the Woodduck tech stack and integration points (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Pricing Analytics).
- Document and execute detailed test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of application functionality.
- Utilize test management tools like JIRA and ALM for tracking and reporting testing progress.
- Test APIs and/or Web Services using Postman, Soap UI, or similar tools.
- Maintain strong attention to detail and demonstrate critical thinking skills while working under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and stakeholders.
Skills Required:
- Strong hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications and APIs
- Proficiency in automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Tosca, or Cypress
- Good understanding of functional testing methodologies to validate business requirements
- Familiarity with JavaScript for writing automation scripts or enhancing test cases
- Experience in API testing using tools like Postman and SoapUI
- Working knowledge of test management tools like JIRA, ALM, or similar platforms
- Exposure to integration points with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or pricing analytics tools
- Ability to design scalable test frameworks and recommend tools suited to evolving tech stacks
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
