QA Automation Engineer – Java, Selenium, Playwright

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Java, Selenium, and recent hands-on experience or migration to Playwright. This role involves designing robust automation frameworks, validating APIs, and ensuring the quality of complex applications in CI/CD environments. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, experienced in modern testing tools, and capable of owning test automation pipelines end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain automation test frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright

• Perform API testing and validation using tools like Postman

• Write and execute complex SQL scripts for data validation and test setup

• Collaborate with QA, development, and DevOps teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins)

• Create and manage test data to support automated testing

• Contribute to performance testing using JMeter (optional)

• Review requirements and provide input on testability and automation strategy

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve automation-related issues

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java + Selenium for UI automation

• Recent exposure or migration to Playwright for cross-browser testing

• Experience with API testing and validation using Postman

• Experience in framework design and development

• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins

• Ability to create and manage reusable test data sets

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skill
