QA Automation Engineer

Understand the requirement in order to test system components as per the requirement specification (10%)

Coordinate with the client stakeholders and team members to understand system requirements.

Clarify Mobile and Embedded QA with automation testing feasibility by evaluating requirements and proposed solutions.

Actively participate in overall quality control effort with test design, execution, regression and system testing (40%)

Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Create requirement traceability matrix to confirm test coverages.

Mobile application test execution using Appium to deliver in production environment –

Internal and external reconciliation of data using SQL, Oracle, excel comparison. (data verification & validation)

Identify and assess project risks and constraints and suggest mitigation plans related with quality assurance and quality control.

Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

Perform analysis, impact assessment and share with team (10%)

Create & share Impact analysis matrix with defect severity.

Perform testing feasibility of the proposed solution for automated testing.

Customize the client’s preferred quality control framework to ease the testing of the application features and related integration points (15%)

Design and develop implementable technical solution that leverage process of automation for regression testing using Selenium with Java.

Implement and maintain continuous integration, continuous deployment and continuous testing using Jenkins.

Ensure that SPEED (Structured Project Execution and Engineering Discipline – quality framework tailor made to help deliver high quality software) practices are being followed across the projects.

Perform defect triage and provide feedback to improve the test coverage (15%)

Perform peer review to ensure proper testing standards are followed for Mobile application and automation testing.

Perform various testing cycles, i.e. system, integration, UAT, regression and end to end testing.

Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and open defect counts.

Educate the product owner and other team members STLC process and ensure best practices are followed.

Provide daily status updates (10%)

Document all the best practices for quality assurance of BI application testing, migration and automation testing while maintaining the document repository.

Attend project meetings, daily standup and status reporting calls
