Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Analyst I to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual and automated testing skills, a solid understanding of SDLC and STLC processes, and the ability to work effectively in both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum environments. This role requires excellent communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in project team meetings to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Assist in developing and executing detailed test strategies and plans for both Waterfall and Agile/Scrum projects.
  • Conduct manual and automated QA testing and evaluate results to ensure product integrity.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; provide appropriate mitigation and gather supporting evidence.
  • Verify and review software and business requirements; ensure requirement traceability.
  • Execute tests, record results, and prepare test reports and metrics for project stakeholders.
  • Communicate testing progress, results, and quality risks to team members and management.
  • Coordinate testing activities and manage the test lifecycle.
  • Support the creation and communication of test metrics and reports.


 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • 3+ years of experience in test coordination and working with manual, automation, and performance testing tools such as HP Suite and/or Microsoft Test Manager/Team Foundation Server.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and techniques for corner cases, verification, and validation.
  • Hands-on experience with HP Quality Center for test management.
  • Proven understanding of SDLC and STLC in both Waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical details.
  • Strong team player with the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take direction and collaborate with senior team members, colleagues, and management.


 

 

Technical Knowledge/Skills

  • Proficiency in HP Quality Center/ALM and Team Foundation Server – Required
  • Experience with automation tools such as HP QTP and Selenium – Preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies – Required
  • Experience in Windows-based environments – Required
  • Proficiency in testing web and client-server applications – Required
  • Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts and SQL/database testing – Required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel – Required
