Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with QA manager and QA team to develop, implement and improve innovative QA capabilities, approaches.
  • Ensure that new and existing product functionality are reliable, defect free and function as intended.
  • Create, document, verify and execute component-level to user acceptance test plans and test cases.
  • Work closely with business partners and the application development team in eliciting project requirements to create test cases.
  • Define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, test plans and other QA assessments.
  • Develop strong documentation that proves the quality of an issue(s) under review.
  • Participate in the development and reporting of test metrics; items such as test confidence and test coverage reports.

Required Skills

  • Understand API’s and UI testing basically front to back.
  • Ability to create complex SQL queries.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Data Whs Concepts.
  • Ability to deal with and balance multiple priorities and shift focus to assist team and junior team members to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate projects to determine best approach/methodology to ensure delivery of a quality project.

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a QA Analyst.
  • Experience in all SDLC disciplines: requirements, design, code, implementation/user support.
  • Experience testing web based applications and financial applications.
  • Experience writing medium complexity SQL Queries.
  • Experience opening defects and using Bug Tracking tools – Clearquest, Quality Center (QC), Bugzilla, etc.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
