Python Developer/AWS Developer

Mid level resources, 5-8 years of experience, Athena - who can query and integration, file consuming (Build), AWS Glue ETL is preferred, Post Gres - RDS is preferred, EC2 and S3, Debug and making sure things were running smoothly, Need to work with Lamdas, Strong AWS background as they create the templates, implement backend, Using Python as primary, Java is nice to have 1 out of 4.

Project - Share allocation work from different sources and modernize the existing business flows using Appian and AWS. Some debugging for production support, 80% dev, and 20% prod support,

All contractors MUST sit on-site Day 1 working a Hybrid model (Tuesday through Thursday) working remotely only Monday and Friday!  Contractor MUST sit in the Malvern, PA location.  Manager would prefer someone who has worked at Vanguard previously and ideally local to Malvern!   Please DO NOT submit candidates who are not willing to relocate and work on-site Day 1.

Responsibilities

• This role will focus on the custom development of Compliance solutions and capabilities primarily in an AWS cloud environment. The role will include the following duties and responsibilities:
• Story Grooming (Gathering and fine-tuning requirements, defining implementation approach)
• Design and Impact analysis
• Definition of test scenarios
• Custom code development w/ automated unit testing
• Build and deployment from non-prod to production environments
• Manual Unit / System testing when required
• Troubleshooting issues/defects and implementing fixes

Qualifications

• Full stack developer with focus on back-end & middle tier. The resource should have the following skillsets and experience:
• AWS services including: S3, Lambdas, RCS, EC2, ECS Batch, Glue jobs/tables, Athena
• Large data management (Integration, Transformation, Translation, Storage, Querying)
• Athena / SQL based queries
• Python (required)
• Java (secondary)
• Agile methodology
