We are seeking a Project Manager for a long-term contract opportunity in our Information Technology PMO. This is a HYBRID role and candidates must live in commuting distance to the NYC office. The selected candidate will be required to be onsite in our Manhattan office at least 2 days each week, in addition to regularly scheduled department meetings.

Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced project manager familiar with running agile and waterfall projects. This job is a fit for you if you have significant experience in planning, executing and delivering projects with deep knowledge of software development and system integration initiatives. Your success will require the ability to understand the technical requirements and be able to communicate with technical resource managers and application development managers. As a project manager, you are expected to the be the primary point of contact in delivering business value for our organization.
The day-to-day responsibilities of the role include:
Develop project plan and phase documentation, including resource and cost management, test plans, and appropriate monitoring and control activities
Coordinate the collection and management of business requirements
Collaborate with development managers to plan work scope, resource allocation and schedules
Adhere to governance controls such RACI cards, traceability matrices and toll gate reviews

Qualifications:
The profile of the project manager includes the following qualities:
At least 11 years’ experience as a project manager in the financial services industry, preferably banking
Proficiency with “tools of the trade” – Confluence, Jira and ServiceNow
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of the project management framework as espoused by the PMBOK with skilled budget and financial management
Strong communications and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work under limited supervision and to quickly grasp complex problems and provide solutions
