Responsibilities
- Ability to manage (Plan, Run, Monitor/Control/Report) projects in Traditional waterfall and Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
- Ability to align, engage and drive work with multi-disciplinary team members across various IT departments.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget, resources, and deliverables for both in-house and vendor product implementation projects.
- Lead the Request for Purchase (RFP) process with documenting requirements, identifying suitable vendors, vendor evaluation & selection and contracting.
- Create a project specific Governance / Cadence to ensure right level of monitoring and guidance from the right stakeholders.
- Ensure effective utilization of resources and lead the project team towards success of the project.
- Foster open and clear communication channels within the project team and with all stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project progress and updates effectively through regular status reviews and reporting.
- Manage project tasks and dependencies, tracking progress and ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Proactively manage and resolve issues to minimize project impact.
- Implement quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet defined standards.
- Monitor project costs, ensuring that the project is delivered within the approved cost.
- Implement effective change controls to manage any changes that come after the project baseline.
- Manage any changes to Scope, Timeline and Cost through the defined Project Change Request process.
- Conduct project reviews to analyze successes and identify areas for improvement.
Technical skills required
- Strong PM experience. Substantiated and verifiable 5 to 8 years of Project Management Experience (including running projects in Agile way), which means Total Professional Experience should be 15 years atleast.
- PMP certification is a must.
- Agile Certification is highly desirable
- Bachelors in Engineering (or similar) is highly desirable
- Experience in Project managing IT (Software Development) projects for atleast 3 years.
- Airline industry experience will be added advantage.
- Initial Software Engineering (hands-on) experience is highly desirable
