Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Engineering and Design

  • Prepares Water System Plans and Project Reports
  • Creates Construction Documents
  • Performs hydraulic calculations and assessments, including use of hydraulic models
  • Develops Improvement Project construction cost estimates
  • Prepares and reviews bid specifications


Project Management

  • Develops and monitors scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects
  • Manages construction or consultant work, change orders, invoices, inspection/validation, and requests for Information
  • Utilizes financial software to accurately monitor project costs during and at the end of construction
  • Assists in the development of annual capital improvement program budgets

Site and Development

  • Visits construction sites to monitor progress according to construction documents
  • Engages applicants and analyzes system growth for proposed developments


Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Assists in the development and instruction/guidance of Technicians
  • Instructs/guides draftspersons/technicians to reduce field notes and prepare working drawings
  • Attends meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Participates in and supports the Continuous Improvement program and projects


Additional Responsibilities

  • Attends meetings and training as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related fields
  • Three years of relevant Engineering experience


Certifications and Licenses

  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate preferred
  • Valid Driver License for the state of employment
