Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and track JIRA project activities across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Set up and configure JIRA projects including workflows, issue types (Epics, Stories, Subtasks), fields, and permissions.
  • Perform bulk issue creation and updates in JIRA to streamline project management.
  • Address and resolve JIRA-related queries raised by project stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage configuration changes and custom workflows in JIRA based on client needs.
  • Develop automation rules in JIRA to optimize repetitive processes and reduce manual effort.
  • Build and maintain Confluence pages and generate custom reports to support project updates and knowledge management.
  • Create customized dashboards to monitor project status, team performance, and issue tracking.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation, ensuring ease of access for all stakeholders.
  • Control and manage user access and role assignment in JIRA.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and project teams to track milestones and ensure timely delivery.
  • Engage stakeholders across functions to improve project transparency and performance.
  • Oversee financial tracking by monitoring resource hours and billing against fixed and T&M contracts.
  • Forecast project budgets to help leadership assess financial health.
  • Coordinate onboarding/offboarding of resources and handle project-level resource management formalities.

Experience Requirement:

  • 5-12 years of experience in Project Management Office (PMO) roles with hands-on responsibility for JIRA and project governance.
  • Strong exposure to Agile/DevOps environments, managing technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proficient in configuring JIRA projects from scratch, including workflow design, automation, issue tracking, and permissions.
  • Experienced in financial oversight of projects, including tracking billable hours and preparing client billing reports.
  • Demonstrated history of successful stakeholder engagement and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Experience working in software or Hi-Tech industries is preferred.
  • Familiar with contract types such as Fixed and Time & Material (T&M).
  • Proven ability to independently manage priorities and solve problems in dynamic environments.
