Our client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support their Global IT PMO in driving the execution of HR IT implementations and business initiatives. As a Program Manager, you will play a crucial role as a value-added partner, responsible for managing the discovery, delivery, and successful execution of strategic HR IT projects. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional planning and execution skills, and the ability to navigate complex projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Delivery: Manage the successful delivery of enterprise-level strategic projects by providing exceptional planning and execution leadership.
- Project Management: Navigate complex projects, sometimes with a high degree of ambiguity, applying appropriate project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) to deliver outcomes.
- Governance: Define program governance processes and facilitate their adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide thought leadership and drive strategic thinking to align program outcomes with business goals and objectives.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, address, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Scope & Budget Management: Manage the triple constraints of scope, cost, and time, ensuring that the program stays within approved budgets and meets delivery expectations.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong internal and external partnerships with key stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure alignment with project goals and delivery expectations.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and manage large project teams, utilizing team expertise to drive results while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with PMO senior management to ensure alignment between project management strategies and overall business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead retrospectives and continuously improve project execution processes based on feedback and program trends.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 8+ years of project management experience managing medium-to-complex projects across multiple workstreams, preferably in HR transformations and implementations.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage projects of varying methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and deliver results in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders.
- Leadership: Strong executive presence with the ability to influence key decision-makers and facilitate critical project decisions.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, raise observations, and make recommendations to PMO leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution (preferred but not required).
Certifications:
PMP Certification (preferred but not required).
SAFe Certification (preferred but not required).
Experience: Prior experience in managing HR IT transformation projects is highly preferred
