As a key member of the Leadership Team, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the sustainable success of the organization by supervising all production activities and collaborating with other departments. The role focuses on achieving growth in sales and profit, ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement.

Drive the growth of sales and profitability.  

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental policies, and legal standards.  

Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality, cost-efficient, and timely products.

Lead and inspire teams to achieve company mission, vision, values, and goals.  

Production Management Responsibilities  

Lead the Production Department, supervising and delegating roles to ensure alignment with business goals.  

Ensure departmental profitability and improvement through strategic planning and execution.  

General Duties  

Safety and Environment  

Enforce adherence to operational safety standards.  

Maintain documentation for safety and environmental compliance.  

Promote initiatives to improve workplace safety and the environment.  

Quality  

Ensure adherence to product and process standards.  

Cooperate with Quality teams during audits and resolve quality issues.  

Drive process improvements to reduce defects and enhance quality.  

Cost Management  

Conduct Kaizen activities to minimize costs.  

Promote innovation to improve processes and reduce waste.  

On-Time Delivery  

Oversee production schedules to meet monthly goals.  

Ensure timely delivery of products to maintain customer satisfaction.  

Lead initiatives to improve delivery performance.  

Human Resources  

Communicate company and departmental policies to employees.  

Develop performance standards and ensure fair evaluations.  

Build and implement training programs to enhance staff capabilities.  

Resolve payroll issues and manage overtime, sick leaves, and vacations.  

Participate in the recruitment process to maintain adequate staffing levels.  

Business Planning and Financial Management  

Develop and manage departmental business plans, including resource allocation and Kaizen initiatives.  

Oversee procurement, inventory, and asset management to optimize operational efficiency.  

Process Maintenance  

Collaborate with Process and Facility Maintenance teams to ensure optimal machine performance and preventive maintenance.  

Additional Duties  

Support Supervisors and team members in completing assigned tasks.  

Keep the Leadership Team informed of progress and developments.  

Drive 5S initiatives for improved workplace organization and efficiency.  

Qualifications

Proven leadership and managerial decision making capabilities

Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and training skills

Technical understanding of production processes, machinery, and products.  

Basic knowledge of product engineering

Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and barcode tools
