Key Duties:
- Serve on one or more scrum teams as the Product Owner and Subject Matter Expert.
- Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project.
- Create and/or gather requirements and ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of well-defined work items.
- Prioritize product feature backlog based on mission priorities.
- Define product vision, roadmap, and product improvement opportunities.
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and features to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value.
- Provide backlog management, drive iteration planning, and provide elaboration of the user stories.
- Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to mission value.
- Lead the planning of product release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
- Provide an active role in mitigating requirements-related impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
- Research and analyze the market, the users, and the roadmap for the product.
- Interface with external and internal stakeholders to ensure schedule alignment and problem resolution.
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
- Work with the scrum master to identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
- 2 or more years of experience as a Product Owner.
- In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Creative thinker with a vision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline, or 6 or more years of related experience in lieu of education
