Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end design and delivery of data engineering solutions on AWS
- Architect and implement scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, Iceberg, and other AWS native services
- Act as the technical point of contact for internal teams and client stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and actionable solutions
- Guide and mentor junior engineers in best practices and cloud solutioning
- Own and drive the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with client expectations
- Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business analysts, and platform engineers
- Provide proactive technical guidance and thought leadership across projects
Skills Required:
- Strong hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud services including:
- AWS Glue, PySpark, Iceberg, Athena, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EMR, CloudFormation/Terraform
- Proven experience in data pipeline development, data lake architecture, and data engineering
- Sound understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and solution presentations
- Ability to lead high-performing teams and drive delivery with minimal supervision
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field
