Principal API Engineer

We're looking for a Principal API Engineer to join an exciting healthcare-focused initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to build secure, scalable, and high-performing APIs.

What You’ll Do

Develop ultra-fast APIs with <2-second response times

Integrate across multiple applications and data layers

Implement API monitoring, exception handling, and high availability

Set up API tracking for traffic monitoring, security, and invoicing

Build and deploy personalized health calculations and medical recommendations

Work exclusively on AWS or GCP (no Azure)

Apply or bring knowledge of HIPAA compliance and governance

Leverage proven experience building SaaS and/or B2B APIs at scale
