Required Skills: PowerBuilder version 2022
 

Project:

  • Utilize PowerBuilder app for prior authorization site
  • Used to configure rules and author rules
  • Previously was only used by one employee - but due to growth have added multiple new users
  • With increased used, have now run into issue with stability for the app
    • Crashes with normal requests
    • Try to author/publish rules - will kick you out of the program
  • Critical app for business in the Prior Authorization process - burden on the business right now
  • PowerBuilder is a legacy technology - limited knowledge on their teams

 

PowerBuilder Developer:

  • Ravi/Chandra will help guide the developer on what and where the issues are, what changes need to be made
    • 3 Main areas of issue: in proper DB connection management (~90% of the issues); programming logic is overly complicated - needs to be simplified to plain loops; 2000+ rules, 1/3 being used so need to analyze what's needed and archive ~2/3 of them
  • Will work autonomously once given direction and group back with Chandra/Ravi for business-critical decisions
  • Work through bug fixes/correction -> work with QA to test validate -> push to the business
  • Working with PowerBuilder 2022; Backend connected to SQL Server DB
  • Will be integrated with Chandra's team, join standups - mostly make sure they aren't on an island alone and have ease to disseminate important updates on the app

 

Must Haves:

  • PowerBuilder (2022) Development
  • SQL DB experience
  • Experienced with big fixes/performance tuning for PowerBuilder
  • Should be able to work autonomously in this space on day 1
