Job Description:
We are seeking a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with a strong background in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) and advanced skills in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases. The successful candidate will be involved in data management, source control, unit testing, documentation, testing, production support, change management, software development, and data integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Research and modify PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data.
- Write complex T-SQL queries to pull data from Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.
- Develop processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing.
- Perform data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis.
- Work with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT.
- Document and perform unit testing to support program changes.
- Create, update, and maintain documentation for programs, system specifications, and flow diagrams.
- Work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios.
- Analyze and document identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis.
- Follow change management procedures and provide input to execute changes.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher).
- 10+ years of experience in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.
- 10+ years of experience in data management, including data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis.
- 5+ years of experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT.
- 10+ years of experience in documenting and performing unit testing.
- 10+ years of experience in creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams.
- 5+ years of experience in working with clients and/or Business Analysts to support test scenarios.
- 5+ years of experience in production support, including root cause analysis.
- 5+ years of experience in change management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Some college education, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline.
- Experience in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher).
- Willingness to work in a hybrid office environment.
- Willingness to learn.
