Responsibilities

Partner with analysts, engineers, and business users to understand reporting needs and translate them into intuitive, high-performance dashboards.

Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, and other BI platforms.

Support data modeling efforts to ensure accurate and efficient data representation.

Collaborate with data engineers and architects to ensure pipelines and models meet reporting requirements.

Manage BI environments including workspaces, deployment pipelines, and governance best practices.

Write and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data for reporting.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectives.

Document report logic, data sources, and user guides to support adoption and self-service.

Stay current with BI trends and best practices to continuously improve reporting capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker).

Strong SQL skills for querying and transforming data.

Basic understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional, entity, relational).

Familiarity with data engineering tools and technologies such as SQL Server, Excel, Azure Data Factory, GitHub, Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Airflow, AutoSys.

Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Exposure to DAX and Power Query (M language).

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.

Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Experience in the Financial or Technology sectors.
