Power BI Developer

• We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting legacy reports and screens into Power BI reports, leveraging PostgreSQL databases. This role requires hands-on expertise in designing and creating
• Power BI reports, performance tuning PostgreSQL queries, and preferably experience in migrating mainframe applications to AWS cloud applications in .NET.

Essential Job Functions:
Convert Legacy Reports:

• Convert legacy Excel VBA-based reports leveraging DB2 databases into Power BI reports with PostgreSQL databases.
• Convert legacy SSRS reports leveraging DB2 databases into Power BI reports with PostgreSQL databases.
• Convert VB6-based report screens leveraging DB2 databases into Power BI reports with PostgreSQL databases.

Power BI Development:

• Design and create interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the reports meet business needs.

Database Management:

• Optimize and tune PostgreSQL queries for performance.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in the reports.

Migration Projects:

• Participate in the migration of mainframe applications to AWS cloud applications in .NET.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in converting legacy reports (Excel VBA, SSRS, VB6) to Power BI.
• Strong expertise in Power BI report design and development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database management and performance tuning.
• Preferably, experience in migrating mainframe applications to AWS cloud applications in .NET.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience: 7-10 years

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with .NET development.
• Knowledge of DB2 databases
