Power BI Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Consultant to join our team on a 6-month project basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing, designing, and implementing BI solutions using Power BI. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, transform data into actionable insights, and ensure effective reporting solutions are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.

Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.

Connect, transform, and model large datasets from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, Cloud, APIs, etc.).

Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and scalability.

Implement and manage data security, row-level security (RLS), and governance standards.

Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of BI solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineering, business analysts, IT) to ensure data accuracy and availability.

Provide knowledge transfer, training, and documentation to stakeholders and team members.

Stay updated with Power BI and Microsoft BI ecosystem advancements to recommend best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

5–7 years of relevant experience in Power BI development and BI solutions.

Strong skills in DAX, Power Query (M language), data modeling, and visualization best practices.

Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.

Experience in ETL processes and integrating data from multiple sources.

Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data architecture.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).

Exposure to other visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik) for comparative insights.

Basic knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics
