Power BI Architect

Role Description

This is a contract remote role for a Power BI Architect. The Power BI Architect will be responsible for data architecture, data modeling, designing and developing dashboards, and data warehousing. The Power BI Architect will also be involved in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes.

Qualifications

Must have architect experience.

The candidate should not only build dashboards & Reports but need a candidate who needs to roll up sleeves and builds core semantic layer architecture and provide accurate guidance of development and planning practices.

Should use tools to create and maintain semantic layers, enabling business users to access and analyze data effectively.

Create data models, semantic layers, reports, cubes, etl data integration

Able to transform and shape data before modeling, enabling seamless integration of multiple data sources into a cohesive semantic layer.

Understanding semantic models

The client is migrating all major tools to Power BI- so this role is the key to that work.

Design, develop, and implement interactive and visually appealing PowerBI dashboards.

Develop and maintain paginated reports using PowerBI Report Builder.

Manage and administer PowerBI services, including workspace management, data gateway configuration, and user access control.

Experience with PowerBI administration, including workspace management and security settings.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with integrating data from various sources.

Experience with Cognos BI reporting.

Experience in working with executive-level users to understand and design Advanced Analytics and Cognitive applications

Experience in identifying, evaluation and developing mitigation strategy for any issue that may pit project deliverables at risk

Understand complex systems and relations between a system's parts gives rise to its collective behaviors and how the system interacts and forms relations with its environment.

Experience with creating and managing PowerBI Dataflows.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development and optimization of Power BI and SQL Server

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
