PostgreSQL Developer

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
∙Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
[8+ years] of experience in PostgreSQL database development and administration.
Proven expertise in database migration, including data mapping, transformation, and validation.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS (RDS, Aurora), Azure Database for PostgreSQL, or Google Cloud SQL.
Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL, and database optimization techniques.
Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin, pg_dump, DBeaver, or other PostgreSQL management tools.
Experience with database replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
Solid understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines related to database deployment.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Design and Development: Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL databases to meet business requirements.
Migration Expertise: Lead database migration projects from legacy systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) to PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
Cloud Integration: Implement and manage PostgreSQL databases in cloud environments such as AWS (RDS), Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by analyzing and resolving slow queries, indexing issues, and storage inefficiencies.
Automation: Develop scripts and tools to automate routine database tasks, backups, and monitoring.
Collaboration: Work closely with application developers, DevOps teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless database integration and deployment.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of database designs, migration plans, and performance metrics.
Data Security: Ensure compliance with best practices for database security, including access controls, encryption, and regular audits.
