Job Description

A PL/SQL tester ensures the quality of Oracle PL/SQL code through manual and automated testing. They collaborate with developers and business analysts to identify and resolve issues, ensuring high-quality database applications. Their responsibilities include developing test plans, executing tests, and analyzing results to identify bugs and performance issues.

Develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases for PL/SQL code.

Perform both manual and automated testing of PL/SQL code.

Identify, document, and track defects in PL/SQL code.

Verify data integrity and accuracy within the database.

Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize code.

Analyze PL/SQL code for correctness, efficiency, and maintainability.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members.

Maintain documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results.

Identify and address performance issues in PL/SQL code.

Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues identified during testing.

Strong knowledge of PL/SQL syntax, data types, and programming constructs.

Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for data validation and testing.

Understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Familiarity with different testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing.

Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, TestNG).

Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
