Platform Support Engineer - APIGEE

Core Skills:

API Management Basics
Understanding of API protocols and general approaches (REST, SOAP, GRAPHQL, gRPC)
Understanding of Open API specification (OAS/Swagger) documentation
Understanding of the role of an API GW and API proxies
APIGEE
Experience with APIGEE X or APIGEE Hybrid.
In-depth trouble shooting of APIGEE proxy flows and policies.
Knowing how to perform a debug on an API transaction to identify where problems may exist
GCP
Basic understanding of GCP services like: Compute Engine, Load Balancers, IAM/Roles permissions, StackDriver/Cloud Logging
Basic understanding of VPC
Basic understanding of K8S/GKE clusters and how workloads run on top
Networking
Basics of Firewall, DNS and Load Balancers (Global and Regional)
Good understanding of HTTPS protocol and associated certificate management
Authentication
Understanding of LDAP based authentication
Understanding of JWT and API Key based authentication
Understanding of OIDC based authentication
Understanding of oAuth2 based authentication flows (Authorization Code grant, Client Credentials, etc…)
Monitoring
Experience monitoring data analytics platforms like: ELK, Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana/Prometheus
Ability to interpret the data and draw meaningful conclusions
Linux/Automation
Experience with Linux CLI
Experience with Terraform for Infra as code
Python/bash scripting
GitLab CI/CD based pipelines to deploy code
Troubleshooting
Experienced in troubleshooting complex API based system integrations
Ability to triage problems and focus on the root cause of the issue
Ability to coordinate a bridge for support purposes
