  • Support and maintain virtualization frameworks, focusing on performance, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
  • Troubleshoot physical and first-layer virtualization issues.

Automation & Efficiency:

  • Develop and enhance automation for provisioning, monitoring, and managing infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.
  • Support zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) and automated recovery processes.
  • Identify and implement performance optimizations to reduce operational overhead.

Collaboration & Technical Guidance:

  1. Work cross-functionally with cloud, networking, and software teams to ensure seamless platform integration.
  2. Provide technical guidance and best practices for virtualization and automation.
  3. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Operations & Monitoring:

  • Monitor and troubleshoot virtual environments to proactively address performance issues.
  • Assist in backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.
  • Implement automated incident response mechanisms to minimize manual intervention.

Documentation & Standards:

  • Contribute to defining and maintaining best practices for virtualization and automation.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Linux systems.
  • 3–5 years of experience with VMware.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting physical and virtualized environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.
  • 2+ years of experience with automation tools such as Ansible (preferred), Terraform, GitLab, Jenkins, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with VMware Cloud (VMC) on AWS and hybrid cloud deployments.
  • Understanding of software-defined networking (SDN) and virtualized network functions (VNF).
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus, FluentBit, or the ELK Stack.
