Performance Test Engineer

JOB Description:

• 3-5 years of experience in the following technical areas: microservice development experience, Java/J2EE performance tuning, DB performance tuning, garbage collection, and heap analysis.
• Good knowledge of JMeter 4.0, BlazeMeter, Postman, and LoadRunner tools, and able to create complex test scenarios.
• Should have knowledge of some monitoring tools, like Grafana, AppDynamics, Datadog etc.
• Proficient in designing Performance Test Scripts (UI and API) for enterprise applications based on Requirements using Jmeter/BlazeMeter
• Perform performance engineering & performance improvement activities and provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews of complex solutions in cross-team engineering efforts and own quality perspectives for the design.
• Work efficiently with various profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and provide root cause analysis. Devise and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance impacts of system changes.
• Publish results and receive appropriate signoff. Prepare detailed status reports and monitor all defects and issues.
• Able to handle performance testing life cycle tasks independently.
• Analyze the CPU utilization, memory usage, network usage, garbage collection, DB parameters, and DB reports to verify the performance of the applications.
• Collaborate with business/Application teams to improve system performance
• Experience identifying bottlenecks across various layers of application stacks. Experience using code profilers and analyzing profiling snapshots.
• Work efficiently with various profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and provide root cause analysis.
• Devise and conduct experiments to evaluate the performance impacts of system changes.
• Plan and execute performance tests using an automated testing environment and conduct analysis of results.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews of complex solutions in cross-team engineering efforts and own quality perspectives for the design.
• Define, develop, and apply performance/scalability benchmarks. Work in cross-functional teams to characterize, debug, and improve system performance and scalability.
• Experience in service-oriented architecture and RESTful APIs. Strong knowledge of performance-tuning SQL queries.
